An Eventful Day

This morning Mrs B's brother came round to help put a radiator back on the living room wall (it had been removed for decorating), but in the process of draining the system down we managed to break the boiler.

Having no heating or hot water coincided perfectly with the arrival of some friends (Libby and Dave), who have come down from Edinburgh to stay with us for a couple of days. It is the first time we have seen them since they had a little boy, who is now almost two, so it has been great to catch up.

This evening Dave and I were watching the football on TV, while Lib and Mrs B tried to ignore it as much as possible! Unfortunately Man City lost so it hasn't been the most successful day!

Hopefully the plumber is coming round to fix the boiler tomorrow, and we will have heating and hot-water back asap!
