Weaning

Since going back to work I have still been feeding Conor. I was intending to carry on until after his first birthday and wean him over Easter. But he has been waking up four or five times a night, so we decided that it was time to bite the bullet and just get it done. My end of this particular bargain is easier than Ed's - basically I just go to bed. He has been putting Conor down and getting up with him during the night.

The good news is that he's taken to the bottle with relish. The bad news is that it takes at least half an hour to settle him and he is still waking up through the night. And he is still looking for feeds from me - he was distraught this evening when I arrived at my parents' this evening and he realised I wasn't going to feed him. Still, once he got to play with the contents of my handbag, he was perfectly happy.
