Rainbow

As I headed out for the afternoon dog walk (without my camera) I noticed that rather a good bit of weather seemed to be fast approaching over the fields.

Spent most of the walk with my woolly hat pulled down hard over my ears as the wind and icy rain threatened to whisk it off.

When I eventually looked up I gasped. In front of me was the brightest and most vibrant double rainbow making the sky pink and lighting up Linton village below the fields where I was walking. This iphone picture does not do it justice by any means, and I was so excited I rang home. I told Sam to look out of the front door and heard him gasp with amazement too.

By the time he had found the camera it had disappeared.

I think the storm clouds panoramic picture is better than this one but the 5 minute rainbow moment was unexpectedly awesome and so magical that I want to remember it forever!
