Black Dress

Today, we did an informal presentation of our proposed designs. Each group is responsible for a specific aspect of the courtyard such as the wall, seating, plaza, and general framework. I am in a group of three (now four) working on the plaza design.

The general consensus is to follow the core of the grid pattern for tree placement; however, an organic form will weave between a walk to provide seating and interest to the design. A traditional grid design is boring, but it can be simply utilized to allow great approaching views and breeze ways. Therefore, the challenge is to take this classy lady and put a sleek black dress on her and add a ruby necklace (I hope that made sense to you).

I will be working on the plan this afternoon and tomorrow with my group to resolve fundamental issues and transitional design. Also, it is monumentally important to remain in constant communication with the other groups about any updates regarding materials, methods, and design decisions.
