Salsa

This is a club in Fortitude Valley called Cloudland. I ventured out there tonight for a team ortho champagne tasting evening. The club itself is incredible, I felt like I was on the film set of Gatsby and Alice in Wonderland and something else magical all at once. It was forresty and sparkly and all things good! Anyway, the champagne night was themed around important women in champagne. It was very interesting, but now all I can remember is Mme Cliqout (of Veuve Cliquot) was the first important lady. All the champagne was served from magnums apart from one which tried both magnum and regular size to demonstrate the magnum effect. And the effect is that I now never want to drink from a normal bottle again, honestly tastes awful in comparison to the big bottles!! Also tried an oyster for the first time. I think it ruined the champagne, I'm not sure what the fuss is about. I've been advised to try again with some lemon on. Anyway, back to the salsa. Every week here there is a salsa lesson for a hour followed by freestyle salsa with a dj and band. We were watching from the balcony, none of us were tempted to try it out! Looked a lot of fun though.
