Christ's College

This rather impressive building at Holburn Junction near the West end of Union Street used to be Christ's College. It was built around 1850 and was a building to train ministers for the Free Church.

It is now just the College, and no longer has such a lofty vocation, instead it is quite a substantial bar. Not one I frequent as there are too many television screens, it is hard to be out of sight of a screen, and they all show football. I prefer my pubs to be free of television screens, though they are becoming difficult to avoid.

Churches, schools, banks, in Aberdeen they are all pubs and bars now!
