Usually I get the text alert on my phone at 8pm saying "remember to publish your photo today" and start scrabbling round for an Emergency Blip (damn this 365 resolution!).

This morning the moon was too good to ignore, right outside my door, though I did feel pretty shady setting up the 300mm and tripod, in my dressing gown, in the porch. So the handful of shots were rapid and poorly exposed.

Turns out the first, handheld, shot was the best - craters and everything! In the 2 minutes it took to grab the tripod and switch lenses the cloud had rolled in.
