Celebrating "Chap Gor Mei" on Feb 14th

And the celebrations of the Chinese New Year continues:-) This time it coincided with Valentine's day, I was told this won't happen again for another 90+ years. I did get roses and chocolate from my sweet husband (thanks love). Then went to celebrate Chap Gor Mei which the 15th day of the Chinese New Year with dear friends.

The photos on the left show the progression of the tossing "Yu Sheng" ( Raw Fish Salad). Each ingredient has a meaning which my friend was supposed to send me - will post once I get it lol! It was delicious as can be seen from the empty plate. We ate some more delicious food including an interesting carrot cake made from radish. Then it was time to write our wishes for the New Year on paper lanterns, light them up then send them into the night sky. That's my blue lantern, with the full moon way up in the sky. Hoping everyone's wishes for the New Year come true:-)

We then continued till well after midnight with games and karaoke - what a fun experience!
