Ice in Louisiana
The farther west I drove, the colder it got. A blast of arctic air reached into the Deep South this day. The temperature was hovering around 30 degrees when I was in Louisiana. The roads were icy, and my car was covered in ice.
I snapped this picture at a motel I stopped at. It's still light out because the interstate was closed, so I got as far west as I could for the day.
This ice storm was disappointing. It slowed me down, and it forced the National World War II Museum's closure the day I was in New Orleans specifically to visit it.
