A long walk in an old forest proved heaven for dogs and boys alike with old fallen trees providing plenty of climbing opportunities and large swampy pools a temptation for testing the robustness of wellies. My daughter always carries plenty of spare dry clothing and this has been essential on all our walks to date. This shot is of a tiny mushroom lurking on a rotting tree stump alongside a cluster of its siblings, all , on closer examination, covered with what looks a bit like exzema. I don't usually do mono shots but thought this looked best here.
