A day in Focus
Day trip to Germany today. Too much time spent on planes and coaches, with lots of hanging around. But in the world of motoring it was a significant event.
Britain's second best selling car, the Ford Focus (Ford Fiesta tops the list) has undergone a re-vamp. It is a world car, produced in eight factories around the world and sold in 140 countries. So journalists of 25 nationalities gathered near Frankfurt for a preview and briefing on the new model.
I wish I could blip a picture of the car, but it is under embargo until Sunday. So instead here is a shot of a favourite route into Heathrow's Terminal 5, along a corridor that is pleasingly lit and lined with pictures of cars. (Half-close your eyes and it looks a bit like an alien face!) A good place to start and finish a long day.
