Trees reflected in Gladhouse Reservoir.

Carrying a compact camera in my bike's saddle bag slows me down. Not that its heavy, but because I keep on having to stop and take a picture.

I took several pictures on today's ride. It was a dreich day, but there was no wind. My bike ride took me over Mount Lothian to Gladhouse reservoir. The reservoir is high up in the hills, and it is very rare to get here to find the surface is almost still.

Not wanting to stop at every viewpoint along the road that follows the northern edge, I made a deliberate point of stopping on the east side to get the best reflection. The trees are on an island in the reservoir. The hill behind is just one of the Moorfoot Hills, which still have traces of the snow that fell later last week.

From here is it almost all down hill back to my house, so I still get back home in time for a morning coffee.
