nearby is the 'Seaport' museum of America and the sea. Hard to believe that we've visited only a couple of times in the years we've lived here. This year we decided to become members so we can come and go as often as we please. With a 3 year old in tow there's often lots of coming and going! This morning was our first visit as members. We took full advantage of the empty children's museum. A fantastic goldmine of maritime themed simple toys. A huge wooden Noah's Ark complete with a menagerie of animals, build your own boat sets, puzzles, a play boat with life jackets, fish and a ships wheel, sailor dressing up, a kitchen with an old cast iron stove, enamel pots and pans.
