I spent half the day doing research and half the day attending an event at the Cryfield Farmhouse. Apparently it's very rare for people to be invited into the premises as this is partly the residence of the Vice-Chancellor of Warwick.

I was there to attend a HOST UK information drive. The organization, a not-for-profit group, aims to promote international friendship and understanding by arranging for international students studying in the UK to spend a day, weekend or Christmas in a British home. I have been meaning to apply to this engagement since i've met a few people who went before (including one Filipina) who had very nice feedback from their visits. The lady who have been a host for 12 years (and still going!) had a very entertaining testimonial! I bet all her guests had a nice time living with her. The event was also an opportunity for me to meet new people who are very passionate about living with a British family too. I am currently starting my 3rd year in the UK and i believe it is high time that i finally apply and visit a British home sooner than later. I hope ill be placed in a home with a nice farm. I like feeding animals. And living in a house with a cat would be a plus too!

The dog in the photo was one of the attendees. Owned by one of the organizers of the event. He wasnt given any of the cakes nor the beverages though but he got a lot of belly rubs from the participants. He is a 3 year old Labrador and seeing that dog made me miss my Bori!
