301 Confession

I have a secret. I'm practicing using my camera on manual settings. I just hate admitting it since I don't know what I'm doing. But a good (photographer) friend of mine asked me to. Well, he asked me to please use manual settings with my new/used wide angle lens that is not in my possession at the moment. So, in anticipation of my lens getting back into my hands, I am practicing. I feel stupid. But I really want to learn, so I'm practicing.

I was excited when I saw this even before I uploaded it. It's nothing special, but I feel like I created it...you know?

These days I have no time for myself. But I've been reminded by some of you, to 'take time for me' - 'just do it' - 'enjoy today.' So although it was only a snippet of time, I did just that today.

Thank you, wonderful blip community, you are precious to me. I'm not going to beat myself up for not thanking you all individually, but if you're reading this, you are appreciated. Thanks to Carol for suggesting I check this site out last January. I really didn't have time for something else, but sometimes it's worth it to make time.

Learning to use my camera was one of the motivating factors in joining blip, so in honor of achieving 300, today was a good day to start learning.
