The main problem

Today saw a second, and this time more succesful, attempt to have my old lead water main replaced. This time by a more local company, who turned up slightly late but got the job done.

This is the point where the main comes up through the foundations, into my Kitchen. Fortunately it's well hidden beside the larder unit, as it's certainly not the prettiest thing I've ever seen.
