Austrian is best

Did you know that the best scythes in the world come from Austria where they have been making them to the same design for hundreds of years.  Apparently there is a revival of scything in the UK, its often quicker than using a strimmer, and there is no noise.  

My right arm was reduced to jelly after about 20 minutes scything - its very hard work.   This is Paul holding an Austrian scythe and standing where, earlier in the day, there  were head high brambles.  Paul managed to scythe most of the day.  I forked up scythed brambles and put them on the bonfire.
