Church on the green

Despite the dull day, the village green at Orlingbury was very pretty with its carpet of crocuses.
The parish Church of St Mary has an alabaster figure of Jack of Badsaddle who is reputed to be the killer of the last wild boar (some versions say wolf) in England. The killing is thought to have taken place on the village green.
