Day 2 of flat hunting and I went for a wander in the rain down in the Navigli, the area of canals in southern Milan. Its a really nice studenty area full of bars, but as I quickly discovered gets quite bleak and industrial if you walk that bit too far. Despite having fired off countless messages asking for flat viewings, I had nothing to see on Sunday but at least I got a bit more of a feel for the city. And its shops. Had lunch at the top of the Rinascente which has a fantastic view of the Duomo although unfortunately the weather was too miserable to be outside on the terrace. Weather's not been quite as nice as in Southern Spain!
