Nelson....Blenheim!!!

Not sure by this stage!!

The day started early with my phone ringing. I thought that it was the alarm call for 5.30....no...a phone call / number withheld at 2.10!!!! Not much sleep after that!

We were off to the airport by 6.30 and had a good flight into Christchurch and then set off for Nelson. Much to everyone's surprise (including the pilots) there was a blanket of cloud over Nelson Airport!! It was more like a big soft duvet!! Two attempts to land were aborted, so we diverted to Blenheim where they had clear blue skies. Not sure exactly where this blip was taken, because we were going round in circles at this stage.

A coach was laid on to take us the 90 minute journey to Nelson. We have now checked in to the B&B and wandered in to town for a meal. It is so quiet and dark after Sydney....so peaceful!!!
