Scarlet Kunzea

A number of years ago a friend gave us native plants at his 60th Birthday. This was one he gave us - Kunzea baxteri. Ours doesn't flower very profusely but this one I thought looked good after being in the rain.

I checked out the details of this shrub on a plant website and it stated it flowers in winter to spring. Don't know whether ours is an early or late flowering variety! (or the website is incorrect) This variety originated in Western Australia.
