TECHNIQUE IS EVERYTHING

Ted, of Team Tufted Titmouse, is leading the competition with his advanced nut eating style and technique. While the others only wish for finesse while they crunch a nut in their beaks - pieces aflying, Ted holds the nut in his hands feet, and neatly pecks away at it without dropping a crumb. The other contestants beg Ted to share how he so deftly handles his food, but so far he’s been unwilling to comply. After all, why would he risk losing his edge in this competition?

We captured this special picture of a very excited Reba of Team Woodpecker (Red–bellied Division) after the medals ceremony where she collected her silver in Women’s Side-of-Tree Climbing. Way to go, Reba! Doesn’t she look proud of her achievement?

And in a follow up to yesterday’s report, did I ever get a chewing out from Miss Rita of Team Wren. She was most upset with me for publishing a photo of her in the men’s dirty dining hall. It seems Rita is quite the prim and proper lady, always neat in her appearance. She agreed to accept my apology if I would publish her picture in better surroundings. So here she is today, looking mighty pretty!
