Tiling disasters

We are going to have to change the floor tiles in our downstairs cloakroom as the previous owner had tiled around the 'furniture'. We remove the furniture and there are gaps which we can't fill as the tiles are old and we don't know where they came from.

We had chosen the wall tiles which are a gorgeous mirrored dark grey. Except by the best matching floor tiles (next to our entrance lobby and utility) they look blue and in my opinion don't work.

Sadly we are going to have to change them as it will be easier to contrast the floor tiles . Complicated!

While we were out choosing, our trusty plumber cut a pipe which was not what he thought it was and turned out to be a mains pipe. He had done an excellent mop up job by the time we got home! Poor man.

Mind this is the second time this has happened to us, in our old house the plumber there did the same to an upstairs pipe and couldn't find the stop click. Major flood.
