Unfortunately my Valentine's Day card arrived a day late - stupid 2nd class post! Since my primary school days, mum and dad have never failed to make sure that I have a card on the big day and that I was never left out. The only difference now that I'm older is that they sign the card 'from mum and dad' rather than 'your secret admirer.'

Yes, you guessed it - when I was younger, my secret admirer every Feb 14th was my parents in disguise!! And all so that I wouldn't be disappointed should a red envelope never have landed through the letterbox.

Before I moved to Dundee, dad used to come home from work on Valentine's Day with flowers for mum and a small bunch for me. Now that I'm no longer at home, flowers aren't really postal friendly so they send me chocolate every year instead! :)
