The Calder!
This is the Calder at the Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield. Its been open for quite a while however, its never open on the days I've been to visit. So I finally got to see the use of the space. Loved the old buildings which currently held the Erika Vogt exhibition. The Philip-Lorca Dicorcia exhibition is on in the Hepworth gallery at the moment too. Saw some amazing photographs. I will need to go back on my own and take it all in. The boys did enjoy it but they do whistle through rather quickly for my liking. They had lots of fun though, made metal sculptures and played on the play area.
We then nipped to a few shops then back home. Its been such a lovely day so the boys managed to get out on their bikes for the rest of the afternoon. Hopefully they will be very worn out and go to sleep early tonight.
Days like today are just perfect. I could get used to this life. A meander around a gallery in the morning followed by leisurely afternoon doing the housework and ironing. Everything at a slower, calmer pace. All results in a happy Gem and happy boys. Roll on tomorrow and more fun.
Hope you've had a great Tuesday xxx
