The Pretense of Pain

Dad used to take my sister and I to see the wrestling when we holidayed here back in the 70's/80's, so as part of their Christmas box I bought us tickets to go to see it again and take a trip down memory lane.

Back in my day it was Mick McManus, Pat Roach, Giant Haystack and Big Daddy. What we saw this evening wasn't a patch on that but it was fun!

I was amazed to see how young the majority of the wrestlers were! It was like the local sixth form were performing a new version of Necknominate, and there were so many children I thought that I'd walked into Candy Kingdom for Rabid Offspring!!

It was a complete and utter nonsense, but we enjoyed it. Wouldn't go again, mind!
