Going To Church!

For the next month, Terry and I will be going to Church once a week!

Perla, who i blipped here, for the When You Are A Stranger project is giving us Spanish lessons.
If it hadn't been for the interaction i had with her for that project, i'm not sure i would have found out that she is from Mexico, has been living in Baddeck for 7-8 years, and when she found out that we were going to Cuba again she offered to give us lessons. So, we had our first one this morning...holy shit, it's really difficult! i've never been very good at languages, my English grammar etc is appalling, and i just don't have that huge desire that i think is partly necessary for learning anything new. i give over hours to learning how to paint light, how to understand colour theory....but languages just aren't my thing. Terry on the other hand loves learning this new language and he couldn't care a hoot about learning how to paint or draw! But i had a good time and i will learn some Spanish for sure. It is a lovely language and much easier to learn from a Spanish speaking person than with a book.
