30's and 300's
As the papers in the UK used to say, 'phew what a scorcher'. 33C in the Garden City today, you could almost feel the back of your eyeballs sweating.
What's more, up in Wellington, Brendon McCullum scores 302 and nabs the highest ever New Zealand test score record from Martin Crowe in the game against India.
It's been a day brought to you by the number 3.
On my way to camera club, I swung by the Diamond Harbour Wharf to catch this photo of the youngsters cooling off in the harbour. Not a bad idea I reckon, as I write this approaching midnight it's still 18C outside.
Not a bad day all round really!
