Great Blue Heron Nest

Finally, we managed to get out on our snow shoes and trek across the swamp. It was a delight to get underneath these nests I usually only see from quite far away. When the swamp isn't frozen, it is pretty impossible to walk it's shore line. Cold today, but clear and so blue and beautiful!
