Netty spaghetti
The Ards Man and I travelled down to Kilkeel today, just about 30 minutes from Newcastle, Co Down. We didn't see any sign of the mountains of Mourne rolling down to the sea, as they were completed obliterated by cloud. We went to visit our chum the Veep, who has moved into a new house and has been supporting the Scandinavian economy by buying up IKEA. And you know what that means - lots of wee jobs putting things together and hanging stuff on walls. The Ards Man is very good at such things and is never happier than when brandishing his tool box. He brought about four boxes of varicose tools to the Veep's house - she was impressed by his enthusiasm.
Anyhoo, eventually the mirror was put up on the bathroom wall and we all admired it. Then we admired ourselves in it. And then we went for a lovely walk to the harbour at Kilkeel! There are a LOT of fishing boats in the harbour, although the Veep told us that even though Kilkeel has the largest fishing fleet in N Ireland, it is much reduced.
I took some photos of the boats and also a couple of shots of a cow on the roof of a shed. I like the cow but the Ards Man preferred the fishing nets. Since he did sterling DIY work today, he got to choose .... nets.
