Rocky Shore

Started the day with a talk from a guy who works for the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. He works at CleyMarshes, an incredibly important SSSI which recently experienced extreme flooding during the December storm surge and then further devastation when US Army trainees crashed a helicopter during a training operation and sadly lost their lives.

This afternoon we went to West Runton to play in the rockpools. This training is required for everything from the smaller kids and 'Alien Invasion' to A level Biology and 'Rocky Shore - Adaptation for survival'. Every single EI was sent for the training either as refresher or because they also hadn't been trained before which meant it was awesome fun. Once we went through the serious stuff we got involved in a game of 'Crab or no Crab' and other little competitions before coming home to do the follow up coursework.
