What on earth?????
Back blip...
While driving through Horsham's historic Carfax this morning I noticed this rather gaudy addition to the town's bandstand.
The bandstand was built in 1892 by Walter Macfarlane and co at the Sarencen foundry in Glasgow. It was moved very slightly and refurbished in 1978 with money from the council and funds raised by the Horsham Society. In 1992 the origional design was rediscovered in the archives of Horsham museum, and following on from this it has been restored to it's original colour scheme. There is a further band stand in Horsham park.
The headgear turns out to be a knitted bobble hat, placed there for Age UK's 'Bobble day' on February 7th. I guess it has been left there for a while to mark the event....it's amazing what a quick trip through the town centre can throw up isn't it
P.S. I had to back blip, as when I blew my nose last night, my ears popped so violently I went really, really dizzy and couldn't walk straight and just threw up....so I put myself to bed. A quick look at google confirmed it was my sinus' ...off to the docs I think!
