A little heaven

An incredible morning. A beautiful sunrise over Mt Mansfield, it's snow capped peak radiant beneath a blue sky.

Later that evening an equally incredible sun set over the Adirondacks, reds and purples dancing on Lake Champlain.

Tomorrow I start my new job. Iron my shirt, shine my shoes. It will be a great day.

About this spire - a fellow who apparently was mentally unstable - attempted to gain access to this old church that sits grandly at the north terminus of Church St. Failing to do so he wandered to another old church nearby where he gained access to the steeple and, following the instructions in his head, set it on fire.

Good to find this piece of history alive and well on this early Sunday morning.
