A heron reflecting on the contemporary art scene

There were a couple of events that my wife wanted to check out at the Botanical Gardens today. One of those was aworkshop for kids on plans to reintroduce beavers to Scotland, which did manage to hold our children's attention. The other was a story telling session that seemed to have been cancelled without notice. Still, it was a glorious day and everyone got to run around.

This heron was spotted by our daughter and I was lucky that it wandered in front of this art installation at the Botanical Gardens. I thought these birds stayed in the one spot for hours, but this one seemed to have decided this art piece wasn't quite his cup of tea and soon flew off.
