one day in France

Old Barn

As it was sunny and warm today I started pulling the ivy from a drystone wall at the top of the garden. Unfortunately it had grown all through the wall and now seems to be holding the wall up!
The is the old barn opposite where I was working (which also needs some ivy removal) it used to be part of the land which belonged to our house, and was where the cows were milked, but was sold off a few owners ago. The road which used to run the other side of the barn now runs between our gate and the barn.
I suppose if the barn was situated somewhere in the UK, it would be worth hundreds of thousands of £s, and every one would be renovated, but here in rural France these old barns are everywhere, in every stage of disrepair.
