Rays of sunshine

I love where I live and the people in my community. Walking home from the beach this morning, a neighbour stopped us to say hello to Arthur. She had a bunch of daffodils in her hand and immediately handed them to us. She'd been visiting her father's grave to put flowers on and had a bunch left over. She gave them to us just out of the goodness of her heart. Little gestures like that are few and far between these days so it meant a lot.
Now they are like little rays of sunshine in our hall.
