Sea Crow

It was too beautiful of a day to stay inside. After church we hooked up the girls and took them on a long walk to the park. Fiona walks with her head down and pulls with all her might so she can get to the dog park to play. Buttercup stops every few feet to smell everything and greet every person and dog walking on the path. By the time we reached the dog park, we were happy just to sit on the bench and let them off the leash. Breathing the fresh air, the sun warm on our skin and the visual feast of the many birds was the perfect refreshment for the start of the week. Once back home, I looked up the information on the Cormorant. Cormorant comes from the Latin words corvus, meaning "crow," and L. marinus, meaning "pertaining to the sea," literally, "Sea Crow."
