Our walk through the Cotswold landscape today at times resembled the meanders of the river we were walking next to. At one point our path was blocked by a great fallen tree, so there was a 3-dimensional aspect to the meanders, too. Here a sensible person goes round a lakelet in a field. This was also the person who got home with dry feet...

It was the most perfect day though, including the spotting of a little gathering of bullfinches.
