a bit more snow
After seeing the sun on the snow capped northern fells while travelling home yesterday (but unfortunately not capturing it on camera) I decided that today, with a good weather forecast, I would do one of my favourite walks.
It's usually a long one starting from Keswick but did a shorter route today (about 5 miles) parking the car at Castlerigg Stone Circle. The photo is of Tewet Tarn with Blencathra behind.
I expected it to be muddy and it certainly was. In addition there was a flooded field which we managed to walk around the outside of, then a large puddle on a track (waded through that) and finally a flooded road. By that time, with my feet already wet, walking through it seemed an ideal way to clean the mud off the boots.
