Comedy kestrel

Far above
The kestrel pauses in his survey
To scratch and preen
And for a brief, captured moment
Loses his handsome dignity
And transforms
Into a comedy kestrel.

So the kestrel was out again on this glorious afternoon. Every time I've walked into town and back over the last few weeks, I've seen him - which is amazing. I got a couple of nice shots of him but had to laugh when I saw this one.

Sorry not to have commented for a couple of days - I finally finished my report at 4am on Saturday (!!) and we've had friends staying for the weekend, with a bit of an adventure (yesterday's backblip). Will try and catch up now/tomorrow. Hope you've all had a great weekend, safe from flooding.
