Oak roots...

This tree overhangs the lane where we walk and it grows out of a high bank as the lane is in a cutting. The base is thus some 5' above the road and the tree has always leaned outwards by a good few degrees. It is such a landmark and we all hope that it has not been weakened in the recent strong winds. I think it looks good in b & w.
