And the World Is Alright with me...
I woke with the sun shining through a space in the curtains and right into my eye. It was beautiful. A clear, crisp morning, and no wind.
You can't stay inside on a day like this.
Beloved had a bit to do at the Scout Hut.. so I had a bimble round the town. (When I say town, I mean the Cookie Jar .. pah ha ha ha ).. Then I demanded that beloved accompany me on a photographic excursion.
We drove down to "Coney" which is the harbour estate in town and made for the Banking. I blipped from the top of the banking during the winds a month ago... it's much calmer now. I took a stash of photos - including the sea and the rocks, but I loved this image of loads of folk wandering along the top of the banking. They are all wrapped up well, but they are all smiling.
We walked along the sea wall initially, and I scrambled down the beautiful big bricks which make up the promenade, and as I stood hanging on to the wall, contemplating my next footing, a wee man came past Si, who was taking a snap of me and exclaimed "Oh my goodness, hold on, I'll help". I smiled up and him and said, "no no, I'm okay thank you", All the while he was bending down and reaching his arms out to me. I laughed and waved him away, and he looked at me stunned and said "I thought you needed help".
I was by this point helpless... with laughter. I didn't think I looked so uncomfortable clambering down the rocks that I needed help... and if I did... why did he think my husband was standing gazing down at me, camera in hand? Did he think beloved had pushed me.
I had to sit on the rocks and recover for a wee while, laughing at his offer...
