One Billion Rising 2014: We drummed for justice!

All our hard work to prepare for this year's 'Rising' event to raise awareness of and continue to campaign against violence against women.

We in Norwich were proud to be part of this global event taking place all over the world and despite the wind and rain over 100 women, men and children turned up to join us as we drummed, danced and joined in a call and response poem for just one amazing, moving, energy filled hour.

I had arrived home at 10am, after our overnight ferry crossing from Hook of Holland (breakfast was served at 5.30am) so just had time to check my emails before heading down to the Forum to help get set up from 11am in time for the 1pm start.
