Frosty Shag Pile

Brrrrrrrrrrrr....

First real frost of the winter this morning. Gloves dug out and scraper recovered from the car seat under which it has been 'stored' since February or thereabouts.

This rug of ice crystals was the roof of my car before heading off to work this morning, with Dumyat bathed in orange peeking out from a blanket of fog in the distance.

The drive to work was pretty spectacular too, loads of photo opps. but no time (and probably not particularly safe) to stop and capture anything. The thermometer inside the car wavered between -3ºC and -1ºC all the way to work and it took a while for the frost to shift. When it did though, it was to one of those gorgeous blue skies and a freshness like someone had skooshed everywhere with Febreze.
