After the Burn

In the last week our state has been on fire, one of these was located on the outskirts of Morwell, a town near Traralgon. As I was in Traralgon this weekend I drove through a section of the highway where the fire had raged. Even though the fires are now out (while others are being controlled) smoke still covered the area and the nearby cities, so much so that they lowered the speed limit due to the heavy smoke. It was eerie driving through the the blackened sticks and and scorched earth and, as you can see in my blip, even the metal signs were no match for the heat of the fire.

I had to leave Josh's place early after a night celebrating his bucks so I had very little sleep and a bit of a sore head, but still managed to awake at 7am drive back to Melbourne and then go to work. This was followed unsurprisingly by a nap.

No South American back blips today as I already had to back blip yesterdays blip, but will continue them tomorrow. Only five days left of back blipping to go!
