our first dinner guests . . .

. . . in our new kitchen, that is! (larger) This is a good sign that things are organized enough and it looks like we've had a chance to figure out how the new appliances work! I was ready to have our good friends Helen & Dave Lucas who live across the river, over for a meal. Yes, they came & left via boat. These guys much rather travel 5 mins by boat than 10 or 15 by car!

It was so great to have them over and dinner was a success -hooray! Once again I made a healthy top of the stove vegetable lasagna with zucchini, carrots and spinach plus sauce and cheese and yummy homemade french bread. Steven made a delicious salad -some of the lettuce was from our garden! It really felt good to enjoy our new space with our friends :) happy weekend!
