Garden pheasants

The light was terrible, it was raining and I was no where near the window when I took this grab shot (as I'm sure you can tell), but when I looked out this morning there were 24 pheasants in the garden - a record! The previous best was 19 and that was a few years ago.

I felt I needed to mark the occasion. I suppose they are safer down here and away from those nasty men with guns.

p.s. it's still been raining here but we've been so much luckier than people down south who have been flooded out. I've never seen so many red (severe) flood warnings on the Environment Agency map/
