Dumbarton v Falkirk
The Bairns travelled to Dumbarton for this SPFL League game and, given the weather over the past few days, it wasn't a match I had expected to watch. But the weather this morning was bright and sunny, although there was a very strong and cold wind, and I thought I'd travel down and perhaps take a few shots of the castle for my Blipfoto before going to the game.
As it turned out, I didn't really leave myself enough time and decided to leave the castle for another day, rather than dash round just for the sake of a photograph or two. My Historic Scotland membership card stayed in my pocket this time.
In the event, the wind played an important part of the game, with all three goals coming for the team with the wind at their backs. Falkirk were leading 1:0 at half-time, but two second-half goals for the home side saw Dumbarton win 2:1.
I'm not a particularly happy Falkirk fan tonight but I suppose I at least have a photo to post to my journal. Some you win...
