Glass, copper mesh, and a hot kiln...

went into the creation of this piece along with a little sandblasting for detail. I love dragonflies and depict them often in different mediums. This piece was particularily challenging to fire because of the copper mesh encased in the wings and the varied thicknesses of glass thoughout the piece. For Valentine's day...at least a little red!
