Elibank

A trip to familiar territory in the Borders today. We used to walk here with the girls when they were little. This is Elibank Castle, that sits above the River Tweed. It was home to the subject of the well known Borders legend of Muckle Mou'd Meg, or Agnes Murray, daughter of Sir and Lady Gideon Murray. It's a sad story with a happy ending.
